Portlanders: Host a filmmaker or two!

Host a filmmaker during the film festivalThe Portland Film Festival is currently seeking homestays for visiting filmmakers for the 2017 Portland Film Festival. Housing is needed from October 30th to November 5th, although individual needs will vary. Many filmmakers will be staying at one of our sponsor hotels, but some are on small budgets and can just use a safe place to stay.

Portland Film Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing filmmakers and audiences, and to celebrating the power of a good story. By offering free to low cost housing, we aim to uphold our efforts in fostering up and comping filmmakers and ultimately bring more filmmakers to Portland.

The generosity of hosts are an essential link to our guests’ attendance. Last year we had over 402 visiting filmmakers representing over 180 films. In exchange for hosting a filmmaker, we will be offering festival tickets and passes to participants.

If interested, please send a brief response including your name, phone number, address, email through our contact form. Representatives will come to your home for a preliminary meeting prior to the festival.
