2018 Portland Film Festival Recap Video Released presented by Comcast NBC Universal

The Portland Film Festival presented by Comcast NBC Universal has released a Video Recap of the 2018 Festival. It was held October 22nd to 28th, 2018. With over 18k attendees, volunteers and filmmakers in attendance, the Festival is one of the most attended film festivals in Oregon.

Last year’s festival was held at Portland’s newest creative building called Custom Blocks. The 2019 location has not been announced.

Attendees and alumni of the film festival include Aisha Tyler, Mario Van Peebles, K.D. Lang, Rosamund Pike, Bill Plympton, Charisma Carpenter, Gary Oldman, Josh McDermitt, Jim O’Heir, Eli Roth, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Abby Elliott, Chris Williams, Chuck Palahniuk, Jason Mamoa, Doug Benson and more.

“Our program is coming along splendidly and we’ve found a few tracts that will be of importance,” added Portland Film Festival Executive Director, Joshua Leake. “Last year over 52% of our films were from female directors—we had more female directors than any other film festival in the state—it’s an important goal of our festival to better represent our community.”
